Every spring along Florida’s coast begins the annual tarpon migration. Here in Bradenton the tarpon arrive in mid/late spring and stays through the summer months. Fighting a tarpon is something that has to be experienced in order to fully understand. Known as The Silver King, this species of inshore predator will blast your bait, take aerial flight, and bend your rod in half with drag screaming action.
Bradenton makes for a great launch point for this seasonal offering. Tarpon swarm the bay systems to include along the flats and backcountry channels.
